Kremlin: Russian economy predictable despite Ukrainian conflict
MOSCOW, Apr 7 (PRIME) – The markets are reacting emotionally to escalation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine but Russia’s macroeconomic situation is stable and predictable, spokesman for the president Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.
"Sure, there is escalation of tension in direct proximity to our borders, this is a factor which makes the markets react emotionally. Unfortunately, this is a usual thing. But I can repeat again, the macroeconomic situation is absolutely stable, predictable," Peskov said.
Peskov also said that the government and the central bank keep the situation with the ruble under control.
